About Me

Hi, I’m Wes.

I’m a 29-year-old trans man figuring out life one step at a time. I first realized I might be trans when I was 17, but it took about a decade before I was ready to fully face it. In September of 2024, I came out to myself and my wife. That was the first time I really allowed myself to live in that truth. Six months later, in March of 2025, I came out to the world. It’s been a long road, but finally stepping into who I am has been both terrifying and freeing.

Second Draft Co. started as a blog where I could document my journey. Not just my transition, but everything that comes with building a life that feels real and honest. I write about life, identity, and everything else. Sometimes it’s deep. Sometimes it’s just about video games, books, or whatever’s on my mind that day.

Now, I have a vision to make Second Draft Co. more than just a blog. It’s a community of queer creatives who are passionate and learning to grow, just like I am. A space where people can make lifelong friends and share their interests with others who are in the same boat as them. People who are in between of where they are now and where they want to be. We are all in the process of becoming, so let’s do it together.

I believe in the power of vulnerability and connection, and if sharing my story helps even one person feel a little less alone, then it’s worth it.
